Being able and daring to act in an emergency
That is the ultimate objective of the 2-day training Basic Emergency Response Officer (ERO) we provide through individual registration at our locations in the Netherlands.
Our practical approach is unique. Your future Emergency Response Officers will practice the necessary skills themselves in challenging scenarios and role plays. These are perfectly attuned to the risks within your organization. We mimic real-life calamities in order for the participants to experience how to act in stressful situations. Your EROs will know exactly what to do in real crisis situations!

Our trademark: practice, experience and learn
During the first day, your EROs will be taught how to provide First Aid. Fighting small fires and performing an evacuation are also addressed. During the first part of the day they practice CPR, recovery position, Rautek grip, Heimlich maneuver, applying bandages and operating an AED.
After the lunch break, they continue learning the necessary skills. This includes extinguishing various starting fires. They also learn to communicate and organize during an evacuation.
The second day is dedicated to testing practical skills. The focus is on being able to act with confidence in an emergency situation.

Methodology
Prior to the first day of the course, the participants must have gone through the e-learning and have passed the theory exam. The practical skills are taught on the first day of the course. After this, the participants have a week to go through the theory again and possibly practice with each other.
During the second day, the participants are tested on their practical skills. This is done in accordance with the guidelines of the NIBHV. When both exams are successfully completed and the participants have mastered the skills sufficiently, they receive an official Soliede ERO pass and certificate. This has a validity of 1 year.
The e-learning will remain available for a year, so that the EROs can use it as a reference.
